How this roundup works

This post lists the 12 AI releases from October 2026 that we logged on our New releases page. Every item comes from the vendor's own announcement, linked under it, with the date it was announced. We summarize what the vendor says; we have not tested these features yet, and any speed or results claims are the vendor's, not ours. Features in beta or limited rollout are marked that way by the vendor.

Xero connected app for Google Gemini (Xero, 2026-10-14)
Xero launched a connected app for Google Gemini, powered by its agentic platform JAX. Small businesses and their accountants can ask Gemini for profit and loss, cash position, overdue balances and outstanding bills from live Xero data, see the answers as charts, and draft invoice summaries. Xero says Gemini Tasks support (scheduled routines such as follow-ups on overdue invoices with Gmail, or a daily cash summary) is coming soon for eligible plans.
How you get it: Live, continuously synced Xero data inside Gemini. Any change to financial data, such as issuing an invoice or sending a payment reminder, needs your explicit confirmation first. Xero also connects to Microsoft 365, Claude and ChatGPT.
