Sync Setmore with Google Calendar (2-way)

Send your Setmore appointments to Google Calendar and bring your Google events into Setmore, one staff member at a time. Steps checked against the vendor's help articles on 2026-10-28 (article last updated 2026-07-22).

We built this guide from Setmore Support: Google Calendar Sync (2-Way) and Setmore: Sync Google Calendar with Setmore. We haven't run this setup in our own business yet, so follow the vendor's article if anything on screen looks different.

What you need

  • A Setmore Pro subscription (Setmore's Google Calendar page says 2-way sync requires Pro; Free accounts get a 1-way sync instead)
  • A Google account with the Google Calendar you want to sync
  • The same time zone set in Setmore and in Google Calendar

Steps

  1. Match your time zones. In Google Calendar, click the gear icon, choose Settings, and check your time zone on the General tab. In Setmore, go to Settings > Your brand and click the pencil icon beside your opening hours to confirm it matches.
  2. Sign in to Google. In a new browser tab, log into the Google account that holds the calendar you want to sync.
  3. Open the staff calendar settings. In Setmore, go to Settings > Your team and select the staff profile.
  4. Connect Google Calendar. Select Calendar, click Connect next to Google Calendar, then click Allow to grant Setmore access.
  5. Pick a calendar and activate. If your Google account has more than one calendar, choose one from the dropdown, then click Activate Sync. Repeat for each staff member you want to sync.

Limits to know

  • You set up the sync for one staff member at a time.
  • Setmore appointments, classes and recurring appointments go to Google; Setmore events don't.
  • Google events, recurring events and all-day or multi-day events come into Setmore; Google appointment slots don't. Only Google events and out-of-office blocks sync in.
  • The article says appointments booked before you turn on the sync don't show up in Google; only newly booked ones go across.
  • You can't edit Google events in Setmore, but you can delete them there. You can reschedule a Setmore appointment by dragging it in Google Calendar, and the change takes a few minutes to show in Setmore.
  • If Setmore asks you to reset Google sync, disconnect Google Calendar from the staff profile, wait a few minutes, then connect again.

On the Free plan? Setmore's Help Center has a separate "Google Calendar Sync (1-Way)" article that adds your Setmore appointments to Google Calendar by URL; those appointments can be viewed but not edited in Google.
